Teaching the Three "Rs"

Respect, Responsibility,  and Resourcefulness --
a kid owned business fills the bill!

About a year ago, six of my seven daughters started a small jewelry business. I have always tried to teach entrepeneurship in my family, because this is a real way to get an education you just can't get in school.  They started out with polymer clay pieces, advanced to precious wire and semiprecious stones and fossil work.

It turns out that one of the girls is truly gifted in jewelry design, and one is pretty good at accounting.  Most of the rest are helpers in one way or another, and help with everything from sales to packaging.  As Dad, I book shows, build displays and take everyone to and from locations.

I believe it is time to take the hobby business to a new level, and this is where you come in.  The girls need some upgraded materials, equipment, and some stock.  We are planning to buy a used mall-type sales cart, a trailer to transport it, some real jewelry cases, and some manufacturing equipment.  This is a plea for your assistance.  If we are to make this happen in time for some of these girls to benefit from it before the end of high school, we need your help.

Please consider a donation from $1 to $10 into the fund.  It is a great thing to teach kids how to run a business.

And I thank you in advance...
